A new adventure begins: A new place to call home, Mount Vernon, Illinois

1906 miles across 8 states in four days! Woo Hoo! We are finally here. The trip went as well as you could wish--nobody was sick, car ran great, no major spats and kids & animals traveled well. Tomorrow is purchase a house day--Wowser! I think I need a nap. I'd love to hear from everybody! Katie

    I'm glad you made it safely! it sounds like you had a good, but long trip. I cant wait to see everyone in a few weeks. Happy unpacking.

    Yeah girl way to go on the cross country trek! I am not a reall big fan of wyoming either. It still hasn't hit me that you all are gone, hope you have a great week love you!

    Next time it may be wise to hitcha' sleeping trailer to the van. Think of how many more states you could have enjoyed.

    Way to go Burdetts! So glad you arrived safe and sound...we were hoping for a Texas detour but alas...maybe next cross country road trip?
